Free Pinterest Pin Resizer: 2:3 Vertical Pins (1000 x 1500 px) for Maximum Saves

Pinterest is a visual discovery search engine where over 480 million consumers search for products, recipes, DIY tutorials, and home decor. Pinterest's ranking algorithm strongly penalizes square (1:1) and widescreen (16:9) images because they look undersized in the vertical masonry feed.

The official Pinterest recommendation is a 2:3 aspect ratio (1000 x 1500 pixels) or extended Long Pins (1000 x 2100 pixels). The Paperknife Solo Pinterest Pin Resizer allows bloggers, affiliate marketers, and Etsy sellers to convert landscape product photography and blog banners into vertical viral pins without cutting off vital details, thanks to our intelligent Bokeh Blur background mode.

Official Pinterest Image Sizing Standards

Pin Type	Aspect Ratio	Dimensions	Algorithm Recommendation
Standard Pin	2:3	1000 x 1500 px	Top recommendation across all feeds & search results
Long / Infographic Pin	1:2.1	1000 x 2100 px	Infographics, step-by-step recipes, listicles
Square Pin	1:1	1000 x 1000 px	Acceptable for product carousels

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best size for Pinterest Pins?

The official ideal size is 1000 x 1500 pixels (2:3 aspect ratio). Images taller than 1:2.1 aspect ratio risk being truncated in the feed with a "Read More" button.

How can I turn a landscape blog photo into a vertical Pinterest pin?

Select the Blur Background mode in our editor. Your horizontal photo stays completely intact in the center, while a soft aesthetic blur fills the top and bottom vertical space to achieve the 1000x1500 2:3 ratio.
